C(crap)Cleaner is a very fast & handy tool for cleaning CRAP from your computer. Malwarebytes also works well for removing STUBBORN malware from your computer. Spybot Search & Destroy, & Spyware Blaster are free but ask for a donation to help support their wonderful products. If you are using a ROUTER you already have a "hardware" firewall & will most likely NOT need Zone Alarm Firewall. Using the Windows Firewall along with your router should keep you safe (it has worked for me for several years). Also Microsoft has some resources & information available that you should examine. These are FREE if you have Windows XP SP-3 installed. I strongly recommend reading this page to help develop a better understanding of personal computer security.
